PLAYBOY: WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF YOGI

Writes: Velimir Cindric
Recordings: Violeta Šunić

At the top of his website, guitarist Yogi Lonich, former member of rock band Buckcherry from California's Anaheim, The Wallflowers, a band led by Jakob Dylan (Bob's son) and post-grunge group Fuel, writes: "Welcome to the Yogi World." The biography of this musician, born in California, reads as a "who is who" in the world of music legends. Yogi has recorded and shared a stage with a number of players such as Chris Cornell, Melissa Etheridge, Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens), Shakira, DJ Zedd, Richard Marx, Kid Rock, Natasha Bedingfield, Nikka Costa, Anastacia , Five For Fighting, Bonnie Raitt, Booker T Jones, Meredith Brooks...

What is most interesting to us is that Yogi Lonich has Croatian roots and has been spending most of the year in Zagreb for a long time, where he lives with his wife and daughter. We talked with him shortly after the recent suicide of Chris Cornell, American rock singer and former member of the famous Soundgarden and Audioslave (he played in Zagreb in 2016), whose controversial death on May 18 stifled numerous fans, rock circles around the world, and his long-time associate, Yogi Lonich.
